It is time to organize the welcoming of the freshers of 2010. Fresher's week will include tours, survival guides etc. in the afternoons. We have something new planned this time with team building events in the evenings plus the first ever White Coat Ceremony on the Saturday!! (See schedule in attached document*). This year, it will be held from 20.9.2010 to 25.9.2010. This is the same week as registration for all upper year students.
 
To be able to pull this off, I need volunteers! Everyone is welcome to help, whether you have volunteered before or not.
*(guests = you are most welcome to just come and hang around just to be present)
 
Monday 20.9
1. Presentation of the booklet with info about accomodation, transport, book list etc ("Welcome to the life as a med 
    student") - need 4-5 volunteers
2. Pub Quiz at Red Room - need 1 volunteer "reading questions" + guests
 
Tuesday 21.9
Team building and beer drinking at Dr. Voják - 3-4 game-leaders.

 I thought 

that it would be fun to create some kind of "school band" that could play a couple of songs. Feel free to create many school bands! Do you have any other talents that could entertain? Please present them. (I thought that it could be something similar to what was done at the faculty ball) (+guests) 
 
Wednesday 22.9

Presentation: "Survival of the fittest" - 4-5 volunteers (current first year students are mostly welcome to help here to present a good way how to get through the first year)

I thought that I would ask the Dean to donate university T-shirts to us that we could tag our names on them. As you understand, I will have to minimize the number of people participating. This is just an idea that I have. I have not presented this to the Dean yet, so dependent on the number of volunteers, I will decide whether to present it to him or not. The more days you can participate during the week, the better. Therefore, please don't hesitate to sign up for more than one event.
