Preparations for this year’s Academic Conference is wrapping up now. We have received a record number of 125 abstracts this year! Prof. Zuna of the scientific committee had the arduous task of selecting  only 24 abstracts to be presented as lectures for the event. This year the lectures are divided roughly into monothematic units. Out of the total contributions, it is clear that through this approach, there will be exceptionally high-quality poster contributions. Presentations of the individual sections – in lecture and poster form – were taken upon by the young and slightly older postgraduates of our faculty. Take the opportunity to have a look at the selected posters, along with the Chairs and listen to the discussions between them and the presenting authors.

Let us invite you to the 3rd “Motolská Míle” run which has become a favourite part of the Student Scientific Conference. The run will take place on Thursday 8. 4. 2010 at 17:30. It starts from the atrium in front of the Dean's office where all registered participants in white coats will be allocated start numbers.

As usual the race is divided into 4 categories; men and women under 35 years and men and women over 35 years old. This year we have prepared and new and more interesting route and a few prizes for the winners. 

All who wish to take part in the run please register beforehand using the following online form (registration is also possible in place 30 minutes before the start). 

Come and spend an action packed evening in Motol in a different way than your used to! You won't regret it!

Dear students of the 4th – 5th year,

we would like to inform you about a possibility of placement abroad in London.

It concerns a placement abroad in the period from October 2010 to September 2011 for six students.
Duration of the placement abroad is six weeks with financial ensuring of  pound; 500 (provided by the Faculty GKT).
The student will specify in his application clinical subject he would like to complete during the placement (final opinion depends on the possibilities of the Faculty GKT).

Application for the competition for the placement should be delivered to Mrs. Hřebcová, Dean's Office
by 19th March 2010.

Students can use a form „Application for study stay abroad“ at
http://www.lf2.cuni.cz/Dekanat/predpisy/staysabroad.doc or at Study Department.

The application must to contain:

• name, surname, year of the study, contact (address, mobile, e-mail)
• study average in the preceding years (will be filled in by the Study Department)
• copy of the index currently studied year
• other study activities (e.g. work at the departments, clinics, presentation at Students Scientific Conference etc.)
• level of language proficiency (document – e.g. certificate)

The competition will take place on 25th March 2010 at 2.00 p.m.. in the Competition room (Konkursní místnost) of the Deans office.
